Tsunamis Kill Thousands of People

An area that I've visited many times was struck by an epic tsunami today, on my 30th birthday. Had I not accepted my current job, I would have been on the very island (Phi Phi) that was completely wiped about by the 10 meter waves. I know of people currently traveling and living in the area at the moment. My heart goes out to them in their time of need.

Mike- Glad to hear you are home and OK. After reading about your travels for the past couple of years (and quite enjoying your entries), I was worried you were in the middle of this tragedy. Take Care.
